若い画家のためのアトリエ兼住宅の計画
生活とアトリエという2つの世界が同居する住宅である。

アトリエと住居、住居と外界という性質の異なる世界が、互いに干渉せず独立したまま隣接するように、境界線を考えた。

中央に画材や資料などを収納する箱を置き、自然な光が求められる角部屋のアトリエと、洗面やキッチン隣の生活空間に分けた。箱の隙間から向こうの世界を眺める。互いに相手を鑑賞するという絵画のような関係が生まれた。

外界とは巨大な建具で仕切った。エントランスからは、重たい扉を開けて出入りする。
この不便な身体的体験が、外界からの距離を遠ざける。

空間から絵画の世界を創造するという創作方法であるため、現したコンクリートの壁は重たすぎると感じ、フロッタージュの手法を用いてテクスチャの濃度を調整した。塗料を擦り付けるように塗り、余分な塗料を擦り落とす。微細な凹凸がそのまま色の濃淡に転写される。2次元と3次元の間にあるような、質量を失った仕上げである。

抽象化された濃度の薄い空間で、今も制作が行われている。

This project is the atelier house for young painter.
The residence where two world, life and atelier, coexist.

We consider about boundary so that the atelier and the residence, the residence and the outside world, worlds with different characteristics could be adjacent to each other while  remaining independent and not interfering one another.

The box to store the art supplies and the reference materials was placed in the center. The residence was divided the space into corner room atelier requested natural light and living space next to kitchen and laundry.
The outside world was separated by massive partition. You enter and exit from entrance by opening the heavy door. This inconvenience physical experience keeps us away from outside world.

His creating method is creating his world of painting from the space. I felt exposed concrete wall is too heavy. Therefore, I adjusted texture concentrated by using the frottage technique.
Apply the paint by rubbing it on, then scrub off any excess. The small irregularities are directly transferred to the shades of color. It is the finish, that has lost its mass, seem to be between two and three dimensions.

The creative process continues in the low concentration, abstract space.
